Step 1: Properly install 12V A23 Battery in handheld remote

The LED signal light should illuminate when either button is pressed on the remote

Step 2: Install 4 AA Batteries in the receiver. Notice there are 3 positions on the slide switch. On/Remote/Off

On - lets you manually light the appliance.

Remote: lets you use the remote to ignite the system

Off – disables remote & turns off the burner

Step 3: Make sure the pilot is lit.

Step 4: Have the receiver in the correct position.

To learn a remote:

Put receiver “slide” in REMOTE Mode.

Take a small pin and press “Learn” on front of the receiver. You will hear an audible beep

Press “ON” button on your hand held remote, it will beep, and remote & receiver is learned.

Providing the pilot is lit, and the “slide” is in “REMOTE”, the fireplace will ignite when pressing the “ON” button on the remote.
